You be the Judge!

Never my business I know, even when "Situations" seem sudden, but they are not. It may seem like life has finally caught up to my young family. It seemed funny at first, to hear my cousin, the one who actually tried to manifest his inner soul for the gang bang life got beat up yesterday by some guys(probably just one. It's always in the hood, some guys, when you getting your ass whipped.) for selling, or at least trying to sell on their block. Growing up in Inglewood, gangs were never a problem for me to avoid. I stayed true to my ma to of come in the house at night, if you have nothing better to do outside. Don't hang tough on the block, if you have no business there. The best one I had, always respect them, big or small, black, white or Hispanic, because you never know. Words like Cuz, Dog, Blood, a no-no if that life isn't for you. It was never a hard task to fill for me, and hey I even made some friends out the deal. But my cousins, they are too scared to get jumped in, take it all the way, but yet their reps are so severely tarnished in Inglewood now, hell who would want that heat anyway. These guys, wrestle with death everyday,and with all the deceases and regular crazy people in the world, why they picked to piss off Gang-bangers, I do not know. The way I can say in this case, Gangs never brought heat on my family, from Venice (V.S.L.C) to Inglewood (I13,Piru,60's,C.P.F,Etc) the premise was always the same, stand clear, or come ride. I do at 28 feel lucky to have known, & was able to understand the streets, being an outsider looking in. I feel lucky to have known Hispanic Gangs alike, and found that it ain't all about what the media betrays them to be. But for my cousins, the world gave them a different aspect. With no education, no high school diploma's at 19 &22, they will go on to continue to misinterpret who is against them, and who is trying to be on their team. If they died tomorrow, I will surely know that the gangs in Inglewood they double-crossed, fairly warned them too many times over, come on in, you are welcome, or stay off the block, go do your own thing, it was never a forced habit. I can definitely tell you that to be truth. When will they listen, get up, go get an education, get a job, make some money, apologize to the world they have ticked off, and just chill out, like normal folks. When, HUH!! Some wonder, but I am afraid for them.
