You may think because these artist (with the exception of Game) don't get radio play that they are dead and gone, and their music don't matter. Hell no, I know I forgot E-40, but we in Los Angeles right now. These artists have and will always have a face in hip hop no matter what. I'm just so glad they are all getting the right residuals now, where it don't matter what label you on, as long as your music is marketable to the people listening to rap music. Shit man, you have so many different aspects of the streets here, it almost gives me the shivers to be from Los Angeles. I'm born and breaded on hip hop, this ain't a game, shit yes it is! It is like everything else, a game you play to survive on this earth and feed the families you created or need you off it. Listen world, West coast rappers just left the big swindling Record companies and went out there and got there's through grinding on the streets and hustling the pavement harder than the next man. Fuck the Universals and Columbia's. & the Warner Bros. who give rappers no room to breath because of known ignorance's, and hello to the J records, Dogghouse, & Lenchmob record companies who produce and distribute on the independent level music we know, buy, feel, love, and can relate to the fullest too. Want to learn a little something, go out and get all these albums, Educate your Gangsta and Street Level Mind, feel me.
